GHB Insurance chosen as partner for large industry-specific association health plans
Capital Benefit Services (CBS) has selected GHB Insurance, Inc. as a broker partner with access to health insurance plans through the Master Builders Association (MBA) Health Insurance Trust, the Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW) Health Insurance Trust and the Northwest Marine Trade Association (NMTA) Health Trust. GHB will offer the insurance plans to participating association members in Tacoma, Wash. and the South Sound region.
The MBA, BIAW and NMTA Trusts are large healthcare purchasing alliances in the Northwest that have provided healthcare employee benefits to participating members of state and local associations at significantly lower rates and with expanded plan options for more than 20 years.
CBS is the managing agency for the large health insurance trusts. Located in Bellevue, Wash., CBS sought partnerships with key regional insurance brokers for improved local access to their highly comprehensive and competitive health insurance programs.
“We selected GHB because it has the resources, staff and reputation to provide the best customer service to help building, construction and marine trade employers with decent and affordable health care for their employees,” said Michaela Gormley, communications and marketing coordinator for CBS. “GHB is local and well-known and has earned a lot of community trust.”
The addition of GHB insurance as a broker partner expands the health care programs’ reach and local customer service here in the South Sound.
“The BIAW Health Insurance Trust is already a great benefit to members,” says Troy Nichols, executive officer of the Olympia Master Builders Association. “Having a respected insurance broker like GHB on board can only improve the program. It adds that ease of access and improved customer service aspect that a local company can bring.”
GHB Insurance has been serving South Sound communities for more than 85 years and is the largest insurance broker south of Tacoma. In addition to group health care plans, the local brokerage offers individual health care plans, Medicare options, life insurance and a wide range of personal line products from multiple carriers for auto, home and business insurance.
“Our staff has years of experience and a remarkable customer service attitude to help employers get what they need,” says Ron Bruchet, president and owner of GHB Insurance. “Health care is a major concern for employers and what these Trusts offer is an unmatched opportunity to keep their health care costs low and employee benefit options high.”
